Sculpture Maestro KS Radhakrishnan Bestowed Critics Choice Award by Dr Sanjay Gupta

The World University of Design (WUD) has recognized the versatile artist KS Radhakrishnan with the prestigious ‘WUD Critics’ Choice Award.’ Acknowledging his remarkable contributions to sculpture, Radhakrishnan serves as an inspirational figure for students across various visual art disciplines.

Initiated by WUD, the Critics’ Choice Awards for Visual Arts celebrate practicing artists while inspiring emerging creatives. Beyond showcasing talent, these awards provide a platform for artists exhibiting in premier galleries in Delhi NCR, fostering connections within the global Visual Art community and contributing to the celebration of India’s rich cultural heritage. The initiative empowers artists with exposure, acclaim, and opportunities for collaboration, exhibitions, and career advancement. With an annual goal of recognizing nearly 25 artists, WUD aims to create a robust platform for India’s dynamic visual arts culture.

Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Vice Chancellor of WUD, stressed the significance of acknowledging emerging artists, offering real-life success stories within the art community. These narratives inspire dedication and passion among students, motivating them to pursue artistic aspirations. Exposure to diverse awarded artists broadens horizons, encouraging exploration of different artistic techniques. These awards set benchmarks for excellence, instilling ambition among students to strive for higher standards in their artistic pursuits.

The award ceremony, attended by notable figures such as Ms. Tripat Kalra, Founder-Director, Gallerie Nvya, Mr. Dhiraj Srivastava, Resident Commissioner, Bikaner House, Ms. Vinita Srivastava, Chief Vigilance Officer, National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), and esteemed artists Neerja Peters, SM Kulkarni, and Mahesh Borse, fostered an environment of celebration and interaction. Radhakrishnan shared insights into his recent retrospective at Bikaner House, New Delhi, providing valuable perspectives to students.
