Roots Collegium Graduation & Fresher’s Day 2022:

Roots Collegium, a premium Business & Management College in Hyderabad (which is also celebrating its 30th anniversary), held their Graduation Day & Fresher’s Day 2022 today at Hotel Marigold. Prof D.Ravinder, Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University, was the chief guest, and Indian Chess Champion Koneru Humpy was the Special Guest. Mr. Malka Kommaraiah, Chairman of the DPS and Pallavi Group of Schools, and Mr Bhanu Prakash Reddy Varla, Entrepreneur, were also in attendance. Mr. B.P Padala, Chairman of Roots Collegium, was also in attendance.

The Roots Collegium Graduation Day was a grand occasion, with over 200 students graduating from the batches of BBA, B.Com, BA, and Hotel Management from the academic year 2019 to 2022, while the freshers of the new batch were warmly welcomed by the seniors. The chief guests presented the meritorious students who were graduating with their degree certificates, which was a moment of honour and gratitude. Koneru Humpy awarded gold medals to the top scorers and recognised the deserving students.

Prof D.Ravinder, VC of Osmania University, addressed the students, saying, “I congratulate all the students of the Roots Collegium College.” And I wish everyone had already chosen their path after this degree. The college assists us in moulding your personalities and pointing the way. As a result, every college student should repay their college with achievement and assist their college as alumni. When you apply for a job, many well-known MNC’s will ask for your skill sets rather than your passing percentage. I cordially invite all students to join Osmania University and continue their studies there.”

“I would like to congratulate all the new graduates,” said Koneru Humpy, World Chess Champion, during the ceremony. With all of the students here, I can reflect on my journey, the challenges I overcame, the roadblocks I encountered, and the joy of accomplishment. I began playing chess when I was six years old, never expecting to become a world grand master. I reached the international level at a young age. I encourage all graduating students to always have a dedicated mind and determination towards life, which plays a key role in everything. Try to step outside of your comfort zone and pursue your passion. I am confident that Roots Collegium provides the best education and opportunities for its students.”

Mr. B.P. Padala, Chairman of Roots Collegium, stated, “We extend our gratitude to Ms. Humpy for awarding our graduating students.” Congratulations to the students on successfully completing their graduation and receiving their diplomas. Roots Collegium has always provided the best environment for its students to finish their academics with experienced faculty. We take pride in producing tomorrow’s leaders by instilling the highest standards of knowledge in our students while instilling discipline, values, and ethics by adapting to industry needs and global standards.”

He also thanked all of the honorees for taking time out of their busy schedules to attend the event.

Malka Kommaraiah, the guest of honour, stated, “Roots Collegium has provided the necessary support to complete your academic year, and now it is your turn to prove yourself for the betterment of the future.” Concentrate on your future, work for it now, and enjoy it later. All of you have a long way to go, and I wish you the best of luck in the future.”

Following the graduation ceremony, the juniors took part in Fresher’s Day and performed creative skits showcasing their skills, dance performances, fashion shows, ramp walk, and cultural events as they were innovatively conducted, with seniors also contributing to the celebrations with their group participations as part of the Fresher’s Day programme – AMANTRAN. The jury chose and crowned Mr. and Miss Fresher.
