CM KCR to finalise Koheda market layout soon

Koheda market:

On August 1, 2022, Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy finalised two designs for the proposed agricultural market at Koheda, which will be submitted to Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for approval. The Koheda market will be one of the largest in Asia once completed.

The Marketing Department intends to develop the market over 178 acres, with sheds covering 41.57 acres, commission agent stores covering 39.7 acres, cold storage units covering 19.71 acres, roads covering 45 acres, and parking covering 24.44 acres. The entire market will cost more than Rs 400 crore to develop.

Gurugram-based Voyants Solutions Private Limited submitted tenders for the master layout, engineering designs, and estimate preparation. A team of officials led by Minister Niranjan Reddy examined the company’s various designs and suggested several changes. After reviewing the final layouts, he chose two to be submitted to the Chief Minister for approval.
