COWE To Open 100 Aveksha Day Care Centers Across India
Aveksha Day Care Centers for Construction Workers’ Children proudly opened their doors in two locations. One center is nestled within the My Home Apas Residential Project at Kokapet Village, Gandipet Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, while the other stands tall at MHC Vipina Residential in Manmole Village, Ramchandrapuram, Sangareddy District.
In a press release shared with the city, the Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs (COWE) revealed that these two centers mark the second and third establishments catering to the needs of construction workers’ families.
Ramu Rao, Executive Chairman of My Home Constructions, graced the occasion as the chief guest, emphasizing the pivotal role of construction workers in any project. Expressing deep commitment to the cause, he underscored the significance of providing childcare facilities for these workers. COWE, aiming to establish 100 centers nationwide, echoed Rao’s sentiment, recognizing the potential need for numerous centers within Telangana alone.
As Uma Gurkha highlighted, Aveksha, translating to ‘To Take Care Of,’ embodies this commitment to providing nurturing childcare for those in need.
Since its inception in May 2022, Aveksha has rapidly expanded, witnessing tangible impacts on communities.
With 200 children benefiting from the centers, 150 mothers have gained employment opportunities, with 25 transitioning from homemaking to the workforce. Financial empowerment and enhanced child development are evident outcomes, reflecting the success of the initiative.
Equipped with CCTV surveillance and essential amenities, each center ensures a safe and enriching environment for 20-30 children. COWE’s holistic approach extends beyond childcare, aiming to empower women through skill-building initiatives and fostering economic independence.
Through Aveksha Day Care Centers, COWE envisions a future where every woman, regardless of background, can pursue her career aspirations, confident in the knowledge that her child is receiving quality care.
