Who Is Galenvs Sciences?

Galenvs Sciences Inc. is a Montréal, Québec-based CRO/CDMO. It specialises in oligonucleotide technologies and functional magnetic nanoparticles for diagnostic and therapeutic uses. Its services cover development, synthesis, purification, analytical testing and pilot-scale production.

Why Laurus Labs Is Investing in Oligonucleotides and TIDES

TIDES refers to peptides and oligonucleotides, one of the fastest-growing areas of modern medicine. Laurus Labs says the investment will make RNA and oligonucleotide manufacturing more efficient and scalable.

A Complete Oligonucleotide Offering

The two companies bring complementary strengths:

  • Galenvs Sciences: early-stage oligonucleotide process development, conjugation, and advanced purification technology, including fill-finish
  • Laurus Labs: large-scale manufacturing across complex chemistry, fermentation and peptides, plus analytical science, drug product formulation and sterile fill-finish

Together, they aim to give partners a seamless journey from early development to commercial manufacturing.

Market Opportunity

In its Q2 and H1 FY27 results release on the same day, Laurus Labs said the oligonucleotide market is expected to grow at a CAGR of about 22–24% over 2025–2030. The company expects this transaction to expand its position in that market.

Dr. Satyanarayana Chava, Founder and CEO of Laurus Labs, described the investment as another step in the company’s evolution as a research-driven organisation. He said Galenvs’ strengths in oligonucleotides and magnetic nanoparticles will add value for customers and strengthen Laurus’ TIDES capabilities. He also said the goal is to help bring next-generation therapies to patients at an affordable cost.

Dr. Jamal Daoud, Founder and CEO of Galenvs Sciences, said his team is excited to partner with Laurus at an important stage of its growth. He noted that combining Galenvs’ capabilities with Laurus’ infrastructure creates a strong platform for customers, from early development through scale-up and manufacturing. He added that Galenvs plans to keep growing its scientific capabilities in Montréal.

What Happens Next for Galenvs Sciences?

Galenvs Sciences will continue to operate under Laurus Labs’ ownership. The focus will be on preserving its scientific expertise, technology and customer-centric approach. Both companies plan to expand scientific talent in Montréal and manufacturing infrastructure in India.
