The Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (India), Hyderabad Centre, will host RIDES-2026, a conference of civil engineers, along with Build-Tech Expo 2026. The two-day event takes place on November 26 and 27 at the Engineering Staff College of India (ESCI), Gachibowli, Hyderabad.
What Is RIDES-2026?
RIDES-2026 is a two-day civil engineering conference that centres on resilient innovation, design engineering and sustainability. Organisers expect more than 1,000 participants. They include civil engineering professionals, structural engineers, architects, contractors, industry leaders, academicians, researchers and students. Together, they will discuss emerging challenges and technology advances in construction and infrastructure.
Why the Conference Matters Now
Climate change, extreme weather events, rapid urbanisation and ageing infrastructure are putting pressure on the built environment. Therefore, RIDES-2026 aims to promote resilient, sustainable and innovative engineering solutions. Keynote Address
Prof. Sunaina Singh, former Vice-Chancellor of Nalanda University, will deliver the keynote. She will speak on the restoration, rehabilitation and remodelling of the historic Nalanda structures, which date back to 415 BC.
Resilience, Geospatial and Foundation Engineering
- Dr. Pradeep Kumar Ramancharla (CSIR-CBRI, Roorkee): climate-resilient infrastructure, disaster preparedness, and earthquake and flood risks
- Dr. Sandeep Shirkhedkar: LIDAR, GIS and Digital Twin applications in infrastructure development
- Prof. Dr.-Ing. Marwan Alzaylale: advanced deep foundation engineering
Structural Rehabilitation and Monitoring
Dr. V. Rajendran, Dr. N. Ananda Valli (Director, CSIR-SERC, Chennai) and Dr. Mohammed Abbaal will share expertise in structural rehabilitation, structural health monitoring and long-span spatial structures.
Digital Engineering and Construction Technology
Roy Aniruddha and Er. V. Umamaheswaran (L&T Construction) will lead sessions on digital engineering, BIM-integrated design and 3D concrete printing.
Other Technical Sessions
Er. Veeresh S.C., Dr. Ankit Garg, Er. V. Jagadish Kumar and Er. Gururaj S. Thali will cover high-rise plumbing, sustainable green roofs, vertical transportation and composite structures. As a result, the sessions highlight emerging technologies and sustainable solutions for the future of civil engineering.
Build-Tech Expo 2026: What to Expect
Alongside the conference, Build-Tech Expo 2026 will showcase construction materials, advanced machinery, engineering software, sustainable building solutions and emerging technologies. In addition, the exhibition will offer product demonstrations, networking and business development opportunities. The expo will also be open to the public.
