India’s G20 Presidency Jan Bhagidari Events Conducted by Reserve Bank of India, Hyderabad

India’s G20 Presidency Jan Bhagidari Events Conducted by Reserve Bank of India, Hyderabad: India has assumed the G20 Presidency from December 01, 2022, which will continue till November 30, 2023. , The Reserve Bank of India in coordination with the Ministry of Finance, Government of India has been conducting various programmes under the concept of ‘Finance Track’.

The various G20 Working Group meetings are being held across India, which are attended by senior officials of G20, central banks, government representatives, and International Organisations. One such working group meeting, viz; the ‘2nd Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion Working Group’ has been scheduled in Hyderabad from March 6 – 7, 2023.

The Reserve Bank of India has been conducting a series of Jan Bhagidari events, such as, competitions for school students, Model G20 Meeting for college students, Seminar on Sustainable Agricultural Practices for farmers, Trade Fair for the benefit of small entrepreneurs, Customer Awareness Programmes, 5K /10K Run, during the week February 27 – March 5, 2023.

All the events are aimed at encouraging the people of India from all walks of life to participate and making it action oriented, inclusive process which is also reflected in India’s G20 theme, which is “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” – One Earth, One Family, One Future.

The first such event was organised for the students of Government Primary Schools, at Nandi Musalai Guda and Asad Baba Nagar on February 27, 2023. The officials from Reserve Bank of India, Hyderabad, informed the students about the significance of G20 and conducted various competitions on the theme of G20, viz; drawing, slogan writing.

The prizes and mementoes were distributed amongst the students. The event was received with a lot of enthusiasm and was successful in taking the theme of G20 to the students. The glimpses of events may be seen in the photographs.
