Hyderabad School introduces teaching robots

The Indus International School in Hyderabad has introduced a teaching robot as part of its collaborative learning model. This is said to be the first such robot in the country.

Recently, the school demonstrated the performance of eagle Robots to education minister Sabitha Indra Reddy in order to investigate the possibility of deploying them in government schools. At three Indus schools in Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Pune, up to 21 highly interactive Eagle Robots were deployed.

“We have always held the view that the most effective “Brahmastra” for closing the socioeconomic divide is education. This motto inspired us to create a seamless partnership between man and machine. Human intelligence combined with Al, as in other domains, will usher in a paradigm shift in educational delivery “Indus Trust’s founder and CEO, Arjun Ray, said.

He also said, “Humanoid robots will assist teachers in their classrooms, allowing teachers to focus on developing competencies for innovation. Well-groomed young talent emerging from an efficient education system like this can provide the necessary boost to our economy “.

The robot is said to be capable of teaching students in grades V through XI both in the classroom with the teacher and on its own.

They can teach in over 30 different languages, clear up the confusion by answering and asking questions, and administer an automated assessment at the end of the class.

Children can interact with the robot’s assessment and content via mobile phones and laptops.

Aparna Achanta, principal of Indus International School in Hyderabad, stated that the school intends to make Eagle robots available to other educational institutions in the private and public sectors throughout the country.
