CII Telangana organized the 5th edition of CII Telangana INFRASTRUCTURE & REAL ESTATE SUMMIT with the theme TELANGANA MEGA MASTER PLAN: 2050 at Hyderabad, today.

Mr Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Hon’ble Minister for IT, Industries & Commerce, Government of Telangana inaugurated the Summit. In his address, he commended CII for selecting a theme aligned with the government’s agenda for the state. He expressed confidence in achieving the ambitious Musi Riverfront Development goal and assured support for positive initiatives in the state.

The government’s agenda for sustainability by 2050 includes a master policy for catalyzing industrial growth. A key component of this initiative is the development of a 55 km stretch of the Musi riverfront. This envisioned project, under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, will feature amusement parks, waterfalls, water sports, street vendors, a business area, and a shopping mall.

He emphasized that the present government is committed to carry forward the positive initiatives of the previous governments and maintain collaboration and work with industry as partners. State Government of Telangana led by Honorable Chief Minister, Mr Revanth Reddy is committed to support all existing industry partners.

Acknowledging the presence of 14 sectorial panels within CII Telangana, he has urged CII Telangana to provide recommendations for the upcoming state budget.

Mr Dana Kishore, IAS., Principal Secretary, MA&UD, Government of Telangana, delivered the keynote address, sharing the government’s vision for achieving sustainability in the city over the next 25 years. He emphasized the need for youth skill development, mentioning the establishment of Skilled Universities and the study of global case studies to implement best practices.

In his welcome address, Mr C Shekar Reddy, Chairman, CII Telangana and CMD, CSR Estates Ltd, congratulated the government for securing investments at Davos. He highlighted that the Summit aligns with the Government’s vision for the State’s Mega Master Plan: 2050. Sessions at the Summit covered various topics, including Policy and Regulatory Changes in Infrastructure & Real Estate Development, Technology and Sustainability impact on changing business models, Emerging Markets, Prospects on Riverfront Development Projects through Case Studies, Urbanization & Infrastructure Trends, and Strategic Spatial Planning through Public-Private Partnership.

Mr Sreekanth Reddy, Managing Director, Cushman & Wakefield, emphasized two guidelines for the government’s development efforts: attracting talent and keeping the city affordable.
