India’s 5G Spectrum Auction Kicks Off
The 5G spectrum auction is currently underway and will run until 6 p.m. All eyes are on the 5G spectrum auction, which is currently underway, generating enormous interest in who will win the rights to 72 gigahertz of radiowaves worth 4.3 lakh crores on offer.
The bidding process began at 10 a.m. and will continue until 6 p.m., according to PTI. The auction includes Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Idea, and a unit of billionaire Gautam Adani’s flagship Adani Enterprises.
Low-frequency bands include 600, 700, 800, and 900 MHz. Those with frequencies of 1800, 2100, and 2300 megahertz are in the middle range. High-frequency bands range from 24 to 40 gigatonnes. Reliance Jio will concentrate solely on the 800 Megahertz band. Airtel and Vodafone Idea may also purchase 900 mega hedges. All of the companies will compete for 1800 megahertz.
In the first phase, 5G services will be available in 13 cities throughout our country. This service will be available in the following cities: Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, Gurgaon, Kolkata, Lucknow, Pune, and Chennai. 5G services can also be used in Hyderabad, Gandhinagar, Jamnagar, Ahmedabad, and Chandigarh, in addition these cities.
