Over 60 Media Awards Presented; INS President Vivek Gupta Attends 6th Edition Event in Hyderabad
The Hybiz.TV Media Awards 2026 – 6th Edition was held on a grand scale at the Cyber Convention Center, Hitec City, Hyderabad, celebrating excellence in journalism while extending meaningful support to journalists’ families.
Telangana IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu attended the event as the Chief Guest and distributed ₹25,000 financial assistance cheques to selected students—children of journalists—under a special scholarship initiative by Hybiz.TV in association with Lifespan.
Government Support & Future of Media
Addressing the gathering, the minister emphasized the critical role of media in a democratic society. He stated that the government remains supportive of media organizations and welcomes constructive criticism.
He also highlighted the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence in journalism and encouraged senior journalists to initiate discussions on its impact, suggesting that the government is open to facilitating such platforms. He stressed the importance of effectively communicating government schemes to the public through responsible journalism.
