The Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 concluded in grandeur at the Mall of Asia Arena in the Philippines on Sunday, showcasing exhilarating esports action in DOTA 2 and VALORANT, alongside dazzling performances by some of the Philippines’ top talents. The two-day event, a resounding success with sold-out arenas and a massive online audience via Predator social media channels, saw Blacklist Rivalry and Team Secret emerge triumphant, clinching the coveted Predator Shield in their respective categories.

In a thrilling showdown, Blacklist Rivalry secured victory over fellow Filipino team Execration in the Dota 2 grand finals. Abed “Abed” Yusop’s outstanding performance, with an average of 8.5 kills and 14 assists, led Blacklist Rivalry to success. Despite a valiant effort by Execration, they faced defeat for the second consecutive year in the Predator League grand finals. As DOTA 2 champions, Blacklist Rivalry takes home a cash prize of USD$65,000, with Execration receiving $20,000. China’s Team Aster and Mongolia’s IHC Esports, the third and fourth finishers, each earned USD$7,500 for their impressive performances.

VALORANT Highlights:

Team Secret, hailed as favorites, exceeded expectations in the Asia Pacific Predator League 2024. They dominated the final against FAV gaming, with Adrian “invy” Reyes standing out for the team. Team Secret, or “The Adobo Gang” as affectionately known by fans, secured their first LAN trophy and Predator Shield since the inception of their VALORANT team. Team Secret takes home the USD$65,000 prize pool, while FAV Gaming earns USD$20,000. BOOM Esports from Indonesia and Team Flash from Vietnam, the third and fourth placers, each received USD$7,500.

Intel MVP Award:

Exceptional players Polo “Raven” Fausto (Dota 2) and Jeremy “Jremy” Cabrera (VALORANT) earned the Intel MVP Award for their standout performances. Each player not only takes home an additional USD$10,000 but also the Intel MVP Award Trophy.

Beyond the esports thrill, the audience enjoyed world-class entertainment featuring Acer ambassadors SB19 and Sarah Geronimo, with meet-and-greet sessions featuring Predator ambassadors Cong TV and the Team Payaman boys, among others.

Opening acts by Felip and Ylona Garcia on Day 1 set the stage for an exhilarating event, followed by performances from Urbandub, Al James, and a special appearance by Donny Pangilinan. Day 2 continued the excitement with stellar performances from Josh Cullen, Sandwich, Spongecola, Pablo, and KZ Tandingan, who performed the Predator anthem, “It Lies Within.”
