Bhagyanagar Gas Limited New MD K.R.M. Rao : Mr. K.R.M. Rao has been appointed as Managing Director on the Board of Bhagyanagar Gas Limited (BGL) with effect from March’23,2023.

Mr K.R.M. Rao is a Mechanical Engineering Graduate & having a Masters in Material Management. Prior to joining BGL, he was heading the Contracts and Procurement Department at GAIL (India) Limited as Executive Director (C&P). As head of Contracts and Procurement Department, he was instrumental in Working collaboratively across Performance Units for delivering business development outcomes both the ‘procurement’ and the ‘execution’.

He is also a serving Director on the board of GAIL Gas Limited (a Subsidiary of GAIL (India) Limited) and Bengal Gas Company Limited (BGCL).

With a rich experience of 35 years in the Oil and Gas Industry, he possess a Proficiency in Implementation of Procurement Policies and Government Guidelines and Advising Management on commercial matters in order to support tendering, contracts management, spend analytics and supplier performance management keeping in mind transparency, equality and probity.

He has an Extensive Experience in finalization of contracts for Mega Projects Pipeline and Petrochemicals like PDH/PP-Usar worth 8900 Crores, PP Pata, JHBDPL, MNJPL, SAPL etc. in GAIL. He has Rich Domain Experience in Finalization of Oversees and Indigenous contracts for feedstock, high value and critical chemicals & catalysts and other O&M items was done with an objective to optimize the inventory and maximize value for money.

He is an astute professional with qualitative expertise in Project Procurement & Management, Contract Management, Policy Framework, including global sourcing of services, plant and machineries, Material Management activities involving Resource Planning, Logistic Management and Procurement of Speciality Chemicals & Catalysts required for Petrochemicals / Gas & Oil industries, Operation and Maintenance activities.
