D. E. Shaw India Celebrates New Office Opening:
D.E. Shaw India Private Limited (“DESIS”), a subsidiary of the D. E. Shaw group, announced the opening of a new office in Hyderabad, India, today. The new office is in the Ivy building, next to the firm’s existing office in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. The opening of the new office coincided with the firm’s 25th anniversary of operations in Hyderabad, which was commemorated at an on-site event attended by Mr. Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary of the Telangana government’s Industries & Commerce (I&C) and Information Technology (IT) Departments.
“This new space demonstrates our ongoing investment in Hyderabad as a hub of innovation and top talent,” said Eddie Fishman, a member of the D. E. Shaw group’s Executive Committee. “We were among the first global financial firms to establish a significant presence in India.” Our work in India has grown in scope and complexity, and we are excited about what lies ahead.”

The firm’s new office currently accommodates more than 400 employees, with plans to expand to accommodate an additional 200. The new space is intended to be an extension of the firm’s current office, with similar cutting-edge workspaces that support the firm’s collaborative work style and ethos.
