In the post-pandemic phase, TTF Hyderabad is staging a grand revival of travel and tourism.
TTF Hyderabad is the first major show in Southern India in the crucial post-pandemic phase of FY 2022-23, and it takes place at the world-class Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC).
5th July 2022, Hyderabad: After two years of pandemic-related disruptions, Indian travel and tourism are resuming full force. TTF Hyderabad, the best networking platform for Central and Southern India, is staging a massive post-pandemic rebound of domestic and international travel, with over 150 participants from four countries and 19 Indian states and union territories.
Domestic leisure travel is driving the road to recovery, along with an increase in business travel, following an extremely difficult pandemic phase in the last two years. Domestic travel is expected to reach record levels, with 68 percent of Indians traveling domestically only in 2022, with the Central and Southern India markets playing a significant role. According to reports, Kerala alone attracted 3.8 million domestic tourists in Q-1 2022, representing a 72.48 percent increase.
Domestic air passenger traffic is approaching pre-pandemic levels, with various airlines transporting 1.14 crore passengers in May 2022 compared to 1.22 crore in May 2019 – a roughly five-fold increase in volume growth from the previous year. International passenger traffic has also increased dramatically since flights resumed fully in March 2022, after two years of restrictions, reaching 72% of pre-Covid levels in May 2022.
Due to the Omicron impact, hotel occupancy fell below 50% in January 2022; however, it surpassed pre-pandemic levels and average daily rate (ADR) for three consecutive days during the second week of April.
