NLC India Limited is a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Coal, Government of India. It held its 70th AGM on 29 September 2026 through Video Conferencing (VC), at the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Hall.
Dr. Prasanna Kumar Acharya presided as Chairman-cum-Managing Director. He also holds the Director (Finance) additional charge. The Board members who took part were:

NLCIL announced a total dividend payout of 38.5%, amounting to ₹533.86 crore for FY 2025-26. This includes the interim dividend of 36% already declared.
Operational Milestones: Coal and Green Energy
The CMD also reported these physical milestones:
- Coal production: An all-time high of 19.14 MT annually.
- Coal dispatch: 17.69 MT from the Talabira-II & III Opencast Project.
- Green energy: A record 2.26 billion units generated.
- New mine: Coal production has begun at the Pachwara South Coal Mine.
- Thermal power: All three 660 MW units at NUPPL Ghatampur are now in full commercial operation.
- Renewables: The Group’s renewable portfolio has grown to 1,785 MW.
NLC India Vision 2047: The Road Ahead
As NLCIL enters its 70th year, it is positioning itself as a diversified energy enterprise. The roadmap under Vision 2047 targets:
- 20 GW of power capacity
- Over 100 MTPA of mining capacity
The company plans to get there through these routes:
- Renewable energy expansion
- Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
- Green hydrogen pilot projects
- Overburden-to-M-sand plants
- Strategic diversification into critical minerals
