NMDC successfully organised a Contractors and Service Providers Meet on 10 January 2026 at Donimalai. The meet brought together contractors, service providers, and senior officials for open discussions on the tendering process and daily operational challenges.
The key objective of the programme was to create a common platform for interaction. It aimed to improve coordination, share experiences, and address practical issues faced during tender submission and execution of works and services.
Leadership Guidance and Strong Participation
The meet was held under the guidance of Shri S. B. Singh, Executive Director, whose encouragement helped turn the initiative into a successful and interactive engagement. Senior officials, including Shri A. K. Mishra, CGM (Works) and Shri D. Hansdah, CGM (Production), along with Heads of Departments and executives, actively participated in the programme.
Members of the Contractors Association attended in large numbers. Their participation added depth to the discussions and reflected strong stakeholder engagement.
Focus on Tendering and Operational Issues
The programme began with a ceremonial lamp lighting, followed by a welcome address by Shri Rajasekhar N., HoD (Contracts). He highlighted the importance of timely execution, transparency, and better coordination between NMDC and its contractors.
Detailed presentations and interactive discussions covered key aspects of the tendering process. Contractors shared their concerns, suggestions, and on-ground challenges. NMDC officials responded to these points during the session, offering clarity and practical guidance.
This open exchange helped both sides gain a better understanding of expectations and operational requirements.
Building Stronger Working Relationships
Appreciating the efforts of the Contracts Department, Shri S. B. Singh expressed confidence that such interactions would strengthen working relationships. He noted that regular engagement would lead to smoother project execution and improved efficiency.
The meet concluded on a positive note, with both NMDC officials and contractors welcoming more such interactions in the future. The initiative reaffirmed NMDC’s commitment to transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement in project execution.
