The Diamond Store by Chandubhai has unveiled a stunning heritage jewellery masterpiece inspired by ancient Indian royal traditions. The Hyderabad-based brand created this seven-part design using over 22,000 natural diamonds and authentic Navrathna gemstones.
The creation reimagines the historic Edu Vaarala Nagalu, a tradition where noble women wore seven jewellery pieces—one for each day of the week. However, this modern version offers flexibility. Brides can wear each piece separately or combine all seven into one grand statement.
Tradition Meets Modern Craftsmanship
Each jewellery layer tells a unique story. Skilled artisans carved motifs of elephants, lions, swans, vines, and flowers. These designs symbolise strength, courage, purity, growth, and prosperity. Moreover, the detailing draws inspiration from temple architecture and royal Indian art.
At the centre lies the sacred Navrathna, arranged in its correct astrological order. These nine gemstones—ruby, pearl, coral, emerald, yellow sapphire, diamond, blue sapphire, hessonite, and cat’s eye—represent balance, protection, and harmony. Therefore, the piece carries both cultural and spiritual value.
Designed as a One-of-a-Kind Heirloom
The designers carefully selected every natural diamond to highlight the motifs. They ensured the diamonds enhanced the story instead of overpowering it. In addition, each layer carries a distinct texture and gemstone style.
A bride from a respected South Indian family chose this creation to honour her heritage. The family plans to pass it down through generations. As a result, the design will remain exclusive and will not be reproduced.
A Tribute to Indian Jewellery Heritage
Speaking about the launch, Mr. Kotti Srikanth, owner and creator at The Diamond Store by Chandubhai, said:
“This piece celebrates India’s cultural richness. We revived Edu Vaarala Nagalu to honour strength, prosperity, and divine harmony. Our team poured years of experience into this masterpiece.”
Mr. Srikanth is also a Guinness World Record holder for creating a ring with the highest number of diamonds. He trained at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and holds advanced qualifications in jewellery design and business management.
