Hyderabad: Sarvejana Foundation, led by Chairman Dr A.V. Gurava Reddy, has launched a unique and impactful road safety awareness drive across Hyderabad. The Foundation is already running a statewide Road Safety Championship for students and youth. Now, it has introduced a powerful new initiative to reach daily commuters.
“Yama Dharmaraju” at 385 Traffic Junctions
As part of the campaign, the Foundation deployed ‘Yama Dharmaraju’ at 385 major traffic junctions, starting from Rasoolpura Junction.
This creative idea aims to grab attention, start conversations, and remind citizens about responsible driving.
Therefore, the initiative is expected to make road safety messages more memorable.
Key Messages Highlighted in the Drive
The campaign focuses on simple but essential road safety rules:
- Always wear helmets and seatbelts
- Avoid wrong-side driving
- Do not jump traffic signals
- Follow speed limits
- Maintain lane discipline
In addition, volunteers are handing out pamphlets featuring the “Seven Sins of Road Safety” to help commuters understand safe driving practices.
Public Participation and Social Media Engagement
Citizens can join the movement by clicking a creative photo with Yama Dharmaraju and posting it on Sarvejana Foundation’s social media channels.
Participants will receive surprise gifts, making the activity engaging and fun.
