The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by Hon’ble Minister Sri Dudilla Sridhar Babu, Cabinet Minister for IT, Electronics, Communications, Industries, Commerce & Legislative Affairs, Government of Telangana; Sri Sanjay Kumar, IAS, Special Chief Secretary, Government of Telangana; Sri Sai Krishna, IT Advisor to the Hon’ble Minister; Sri Sreekant Lanka, Chief Strategy Officer, Government of Telangana; and Sonatype executives Bhagwat Swaroop (CEO), Mitchell Johnson (Chief Product Development Officer), and Abhishek Chauhan (Head of India & Senior Director of Technology), along with industry leaders and partners.
The new Hyderabad Innovation Hub marks a major milestone in Sonatype’s global expansion, reinforcing its commitment to AI innovation, open-source security, and 24/7 product delivery.

Rooted in its open-source heritage as the steward of Maven Central and Nexus Repository, Sonatype has shaped how developers build, share, and secure software for more than two decades.
The Hyderabad hub will serve as Sonatype’s largest R&D center, housing over 200 engineers, data scientists, and AI experts.
Teams will focus on AI/ML-driven security, cloud-native development, and open-source intelligence — strengthening global defenses against software supply-chain threats.
