
Apollo Cancer Centres (ACC), Hyderabad, hosted a press conference on breast-cancer awareness and early detection. The event aimed to encourage women to make regular check-ups a habit and to talk openly about preventive health.
The programme featured Ms Shikha Goel, IPS, Director General, Vigilance & Enforcement Department; Dr Sangita Reddy, Joint Managing Director, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd; Dr Vanitha Datla; Dr P. Vijay Anand Reddy, Director, Apollo Cancer Centre, Hyderabad; Dr Nikhil Ghadyalpatil; Dr Rekha Bansal; Dr Rashmi Sudhir; and Dr Sai Lakshmi Daayana.
During the event, Apollo introduced ‘Check-Olate’, a new initiative that turns breast-health awareness into an everyday practice. Through this campaign, ACC will run education drives, screening camps, and digital awareness programmes to promote early detection and reduce cancer-related deaths.
Dr Sangita Reddy said,
“Awareness and early detection are the most powerful tools we have in fighting breast cancer. With ‘Check-Olate,’ we aim to normalize regular breast screening and empower women to prioritize their health.”
