Telangana is rapidly rising as India’s next-generation Global Capability Center (GCC) powerhouse, according to a new report by Xpheno, a leading specialist staffing firm.
The study, titled “Telangana: The Next-Gen GCC Powerhouse,” reveals that Hyderabad now attracts 40% of all new Greenfield GCCs in India. Bengaluru follows at 33%. This marks a major shift in India’s GCC landscape.
Hyderabad Leads India’s GCC Expansion
Over the past three years, Hyderabad has become the most preferred destination for Greenfield GCCs. The city now represents a strong, future-ready ecosystem that appeals to global enterprises.
Currently, Telangana hosts more than 360 GCCs, employing over 3.1 lakh professionals. These employees make up nearly 14% of the state’s total white-collar workforce.
Kamal Karanth, Co-founder of Xpheno, said:
“Telangana is fast emerging as India’s next-generation GCC powerhouse. With a vibrant and skilled workforce, the state has become a magnet for global enterprises seeking sustainable talent ecosystems.”
He added that Hyderabad’s strong talent pool, strategic policies, and advanced infrastructure have made it a preferred hub for innovation-led global operations.

- Women forming 33% of the GCC workforce, with 19% in leadership roles.
