Phase I Achievements

Over the last six months, the restoration drive has transformed the lake’s surroundings. Solar floating aerators, floating treatment wetlands, weed removal, bund repairs, and garbage clearance have rejuvenated the lake. Visitor-friendly additions like a gate, seating area, toilets, storage facilities, and security systems ensure the area remains protected and welcoming.

Community and Corporate Partnership

GEF India’s CSR philosophy is rooted in sustainability. Their support reflects their commitment to environmental stewardship, echoing previous green projects like Freedom Park. Leaders from local governance and the Telangana Social Impact Group emphasized that preserving the lake’s beauty will depend on active community involvement.

The Van Mahotsavam at Kotha Cheruvu is not just an event—it’s a movement. By blending corporate responsibility, government support, and community participation, the initiative is sowing seeds of change that will bloom for generations to come.
