Lakhotia College of Design hosted an eco-conscious fashion event titled “Trashique – The Best Out of Waste” at its campus on Road No. 10, Banjara Hills. The show aimed to prove that fashion and sustainability can go hand in hand—turning trash into trendsetting style.

Sustainable Fashion Showcase at Lakhotia College

“Trashique” merges “Trash” and “Chic”, redefining waste as a fashion-forward resource. Students from Lakhotia College of Design presented creative outfits made entirely from discarded materials—like newspapers, fabric scraps, plastic bottles, and waste packaging.

This initiative showed how responsible design thinking can lead to beautiful and functional fashion. Each piece on the runway sent a strong message: waste is not worthless.

Why Trashique Matters in Today’s Fashion World

The fashion show was attended by faculty members, designers, industry experts, and an enthusiastic audience. The garments reflected not just style, but a commitment to eco-friendly innovation.

In today’s world, where fashion waste is a growing issue, events like Trashique promote sustainable design education and raise awareness among the next generation of creators.
