On Friday (17th January) Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, India’s largest mobility expo, at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The expo will run from January 17-22, 2025, across three locations- Bharat Mandapam and Yashobhoomi in New Delhi and India Expo Center and Mart in Greater Noida.
PM Modi, in his address highlighted the growth of the expo, mentioning that last year over 800 exhibitors participated and more than 1.5 lakh visitors attended. This year, the expo is expanded with new locations, and new vehicles are expected to be launched. He emphasized India’s positive outlook on the future of mobility and praise the country
s automotive industry for being innovative and future-readiy
The event will feature over 9 simultaneous shows, 20+ conferences, and various pavilions. It will also have state sessions to promote collaboration between the mobility sector and regional governments. The theme of the expo, “Beyond Boundaries: Co-creating Future Automotive Value Chain,” focuses on collaboration and sustainability, highlighting advancements in automotive technology.
The Bharat Mobility Global Expo is combined with India’s biennial Auto Expo, which returns to Bharat Mandapam after more than a decade at Greater Noida. The expo is supported by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry and hosted by major industry associations such as SIAM, ACMA, IESA, ATMA, ICEMA, Nasscom, and others.
With over 5,100 international participants, the expo is expected to attract more than 5 lakh visitors. In terms of exhibits, electric vehicles (EVs) will be a major highlight. Maruti Suzuki will unveil its first electric vehicle, the SUV e VITARA, while Hyundai will launch the Crtea EV. Mercedes-Benz will introduce its electric EQS Maybach SUV, and BMW will showcase the all-electric BMW i7 and the new BMW X3.
Overall, more than 40 new products are expected to be launched during the expo.
