Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju announced on tuesday, November 5, that the Winter Session of Parliament will start on November 25 and continue until December 20, 2024.
”Hon’ble President on the recommendation of the Government of India, has approved the proposal for summoning of both Houses of Parliament for the Winter Session, 2024, from 25th November to 20th December, 2024 (subject to exigencies of Parliament business)”, the Parliament Affairs Minister said.
He also mentioned that on November 26, 2024, which marks the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution, a special event will be held in the Central Hall of Samvidhan sadan, with members of both Houses of Parliament attending.
The upcoming Parliament session is expected to feature heated debates on the ‘One Nation, One Election’ proposal and the Waqf (Amendment) Bill 2024, Which is likely to be introduced during the winter session.
