TSRTC Bus Tracking:
On July 26, 2022, a smartphone application called “TSRTC Bus Tracking” was introduced here to make bus travel simple and encourage people to use Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) buses.
During the launch, TSRTC Chairman Bajireddy Govardhan and RTC MD VC Sajjanar stated that 96 depots across Telangana and 4170 special type buses had been identified for bus tracking implementation and to provide the Expected Time of Arrival (ETA) of their bus services for the convenience of passengers.
According to the RTC MD, the mobile application ‘TSRTC Bus Tracking’ is now available for download on Google Play and will allow passengers to track RTC buses in real-time.
“The initiative will help passengers know the arrival and departure times of buses at various stops across Telangana and neighbouring states where TSRTC services are available so that passengers can plan their travel and avoid unnecessary waiting time at bus stops/stations,” he said.
To begin, a total of 140 buses have been identified for the pilot project, of which 40 AC Pushpak buses from Cantonment and Miyapur-2 depots will be tracked on different routes to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Shamshabad and 100 long-distance buses from Miyapur-1 and Picket depots will be tracked on routes such as Srisailam, Vijayawada, Eluru, Bhadrachalam, Bangalore, and Visakhapatnam.
All reservation and special type services from the district and Hyderabad city will be added to the tracking app in the coming months.
The MD of the RTC requested that passengers download the app from the Google Play store. The mobile app can also be downloaded from www.tsrtc.telangana.gov.in.
