Gone are the days when you had to go shop-to-shop or search for a good restaurant. Now, you can have your desired items and meals delivered to your doorstep. several apps now promise delivery in just minutes, and Zomato is taking this further by introducing a 15-minute food delivery option. However, to avail this, the restaurant must be within a 1.5 km radius of the delivery location.

previously, in December 2024, Zomato’s quick-commerce subsidiary Blinkit launched ‘Bistro’, promising snack, meal, and beverage delivery in just 10 minutes.

In Contrast, despite fierce competition among food delivery services, shares of companies like Zomato and Swiggy have seen a significant decline. Recently, both companies saw a 3.6% drop in stock prices, coinciding with a complaint filed by the National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) against them with the Competition Commission of India (CCI).

NRAI President, Sagar Daryani, voiced concerns about Zomato and Swiggy engaging in private labeling and selling food directly, arguing it harms restaurant business and raises legal issues related to copyright laws.
