Telangana continues to shine on the world stage.
The Hon’ble Minister for Industries and Information Technology, Shri D. Sridhar Babu, has been invited by the Government of Victoria and the Government of Australia to deliver the keynote address at AusBiotech 2025.
This is one of Asia-Pacific’s top life sciences events.
Telangana is the only Indian state invited to this prestigious convention.
This recognition highlights its rise as a leader in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare innovation.
Strengthening Global Ties in Life Sciences
Earlier today, Ms Hilary McGeachy, Consul General of Australia, met Minister Sridhar Babu in Hyderabad.
They discussed Telangana’s participation at the event and explored ways to deepen cooperation in healthcare innovation, artificial intelligence, research, and advanced manufacturing.
This invitation reflects Telangana’s rapid transformation under the leadership of the Hon’ble Chief Minister and Minister Sridhar Babu.
In just two years, the state’s life sciences sector attracted investments of over ₹63,000 crore.
As a result, Telangana now stands as a global hub for biotechnology and medtech innovation.
Telangana: India’s Life Sciences Capital
According to a CBRE report, Hyderabad ranks among the top seven global life sciences clusters.
Notably, it is the only Indian city to make this list.

Their visit strengthened the collaboration between Australia and Telangana in research and technology.
In addition, a large Australian delegation will attend BioAsia 2026, continuing this partnership.
