Tansen Celebrates

Tansen, Hyderabad’s iconic fine-dining destination, is celebrating its first anniversary with two curated culinary experiences — The Tales of Arabia and Royal Kitchen food festivals. Known for its exquisite Northwest Frontier cuisine, Tansen marks a remarkable year of gastronomical excellence by inviting the city’s food lovers to savour heritage, flavour, and artistry in its royal Mughal-inspired setting.

Year of Culinary Excellence

Since opening in 2024, Tansen by Ohri’s Group has redefined regal dining by combining timeless Indian recipes with global influences. With its opulent décor, immersive ambience, and commitment to storytelling through food, Tansen has become a preferred haven for food connoisseurs in Hyderabad.

Speaking on the occasion, Amar Ohri, Director, Ohri’s Group, shared:

“Tansen was built to celebrate India’s culinary legacy. Each dish reflects history, tradition, and emotion. This milestone marks not just growth but our desire to take Tansen’s magic beyond Hyderabad.”

Tales of Arabia Food Festival (17–19 July)

This three-day festival, crafted by the talented Chef Pin, blends the elegance of Middle Eastern cuisine with India’s rich spice heritage. Diners will experience a luxurious culinary bridge between Arab delicacies and Indian flavours — a true fusion of culture and comfort.

Highlights:

  • Aromatic grilled meats & mezze
  • Indian-inspired tagines and rice dishes
  • Rich desserts with a regional twist
  • Live performances & themed décor

Royal Kitchen Food Festival (24–26 July)

Curated by Chef Anuj Wadhawan, this event revisits India’s colonial culinary chapters, serving up soulful Anglo-Indian recipes once reserved for royal banquets and railway carriages. Guests will embark on a journey through India’s multicultural past, where flavours from the East and West meet.

Expect:

  • Classic roasts with Indian spice blends
  • Regal railway-style curries and stews
  • Baked treats with heritage roots
  • A nostalgic ambience celebrating India’s royal dining legacy

More Than Food — A Cultural Experience

Set in Tansen’s grand Mughal-style interiors, both festivals promise:

  • Artisanal beverage pairings
  • Themed entertainment
  • Live music and performances
  • Bespoke plating and storytelling through each dish

Neeraj Roy, General Manager at Tansen, added:“This is more than a celebration — it’s our tribute to the Hyderabad food community that supported us from day one. These festivals are a journey through time, taste, and tradition.”
