Bharati Cement began its journey in on 28th September 2009, with it’s first cement plant of 2.5 million tonnes capacity located in Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh.
That was just the first step and the company has come a long way since then. The more than adequate supply of limestone, the essential raw material that goes into the manufacture of cement, enabled Bharati to expand.
Technology has been the mainstay at Bharati and the state of art technology in its plants, ensures high quality products for a market that is increasingly demanding it.
On 30th April 2010, the French conglomerate, Vicat an International Group with varied interests in verticals like Cement, Ready-Mixed Concrete, Concrete Products and Aggregates, acquired a majority stake in Bharati Cement. Vicat has a strong presence in 12 countries with more than 30 million tonnes cement capacity and over 7,700+ team members across the globe.As it moves into the next decade, Bharati Cements is now looking to consolidate and grow its market share and enhance its brand equity. And that is going to be another eventful journey
