The Central Government Appointed RBI Non-Official Directors, Non-official directors (RBI) have been appointed by the national government to the Reserve Bank of India’s Central Board of Directors, including Anand Mahindra, Pankaj R Patel, and Venu Srinivasan. A former professor at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM-Ahmedabad), Ravindra H. Dholakia, has also joined the board.
The Cabinet Appointments Committee authorised his appointment for a period of four years from the date of his notification of appointment or until further orders, whichever comes first. The Reserve Bank’s business are governed by the Central Board of Directors, which is appointed by the Government of India in accordance with the Reserve Bank of India Act.
