EBG Group has launched Naari Shakti, a national women empowerment programme aimed at supporting 1,00,000 women across India in its first phase. The initiative was unveiled in Hyderabad by Padma Shri PV Sindhu, who also launched the Suraksha Line, a 24/7 SOS helpline for women (7777777963).

The EBG Foundation, the Group’s philanthropic arm, has committed USD 1 million for FY 2025–26 to drive the programme without raising public donations.

A Mission to Deliver Real Empowerment

Dr. Irfan Khan, Chairman & Founder, EBG Group, said the initiative was built to address real issues faced by women across the country.

“Naari Shakti was created to change reality through action, not charity. Women power more than 60% of EBG’s workforce. We now want to extend that impact nationwide by enabling dignity, safety, income, health and education,” he said.

Naari Shakti: Six Pillars for Women’s Progress

  1. Kaam & Kamaai – Work-from-home income opportunities
  2. Sehat & Swachhta – Health checks and dignity kits
  3. Padhna & Badalna – Second-chance education and digital skills
  4. Suraksha Line – 24/7 national women’s SOS helpline (7777777963)
  5. Kanoon & Hakk – Legal support for rights and safety
  6. Saath & Sahara – Care for elder and abandoned women through Naari Shakti Homes

The initiative is open to all women, with priority for single mothers, widows, domestic violence survivors, abandoned elders, and those who lost access to education.

A Scalable Nationwide Framework

With a strong funding commitment and a clear six-pillar structure, Naari Shakti aims to create a scalable and self-sustaining empowerment model that can be expanded across India.
