PM Modi carried out an aerial survey on 10th August, 2024 of disaster-hit areas of Wayanad. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan Was also with him.
PM also visited one of the relief camps, which is home to many of those displaced in the massive landslides, and interacted with some of the survivours.
At the review meeting PM Modi said, ” Since learning about the landslide I have been closely monitoring the situation. we quickly mobilized all relevant Central Government agencies to assist with the disaster,”
“this is not an ordinary calalmity, it has devastated the dreams of thousands of families. I have personally assessed the situation on the ground, visited the relief camps where victims are sheltered, and met with injured patients in hospital,” PM added.
PM Modi also held a review meeting with official. Meeting was attended by Governor Arif Mohammed Khan, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Union Minister Suresh Gopi.
