No More Long Waits for Passport Slots

The Regional Passport Office, Hyderabad has decided to increase the number of slots under the Regular and Tatkal categories to clear the long pending backlog. Passport applicants in Telangana have been facing severe hardships as they were even forced to wait months to get a confirmed slot, particularly in the centers in the State capital.

As per the initiative, Ameerpet will have 50 more slots, 100 in Begumpet and 50 in Tolichowki. Similarly, Tatkal appointments in Nizamabad rose from 40 to 60, and Karimnagar 10 to 30. There is no change in regular appointments in these two centers.
