Marut Drones

Hyderabad-based Marut Drones, India’s first drone company with dual certification for training and manufacturing, has achieved another milestone. The company has received DGCA type certification for its latest surveillance drone – the Skyswift 56.

A Drone Built for Surveillance and Safety

The Skyswift 56 is a small quadcopter-class drone designed for surveillance, high-precision mapping, and training. It can carry different payloads, including:

  • A 24MP mapping camera with PPK support
  • A 4K surveillance camera
  • Thermal imaging sensors for night and low-visibility missions
  • FPV camera for real-time control

Because of these features, the Skyswift 56 is well suited for law enforcement, patrolling, reconnaissance, and public safety operations.

Key Benefits of Skyswift 56

Unlike traditional methods, this compact drone offers several advantages:

  • Faster emergency response – It can be deployed in less than 2 minutes.
  • Cost efficiency – Reduces operational costs compared to larger systems.
  • Silent surveillance – Helps in discreet monitoring and covert operations.
  • Durability – Weather-resistant and shock-absorbent, with speeds up to 15 m/s to cover large areas.

As a result, it not only supports law enforcement but also improves community safety and confidence.

Boosting India’s Drone Economy

India’s drone industry is growing rapidly. The market, currently valued at USD 150 million, is expected to cross USD 630 million by 2030. With this growth comes a challenge – the shortage of skilled drone pilots. Already, India has 1 lakh registered drones, and the number could rise to 1 million by 2027.

To address this, Marut’s certified Skyswift 56 will also help in pilot training. By creating job opportunities, it could contribute more than ₹6,000 crore in employment as trained drone pilots earn between ₹50,000 and ₹80,000 per month.

Strengthening India’s Drone Ecosystem

Prem Kumar Vislawath, CEO & Co-Founder of Marut Drones, said:

“Skyswift 56 is a silent, thermal-equipped, and field-ready solution for covert reconnaissance, law enforcement, and public safety missions. Built in India, it reflects our commitment to providing cutting-edge, indigenous technology that strengthens our nation’s drone capabilities.”

Conclusion

With DGCA certification, Marut Drones has once again proven its leadership in India’s drone ecosystem. By combining innovation in surveillance technology with a focus on training, the company is bridging the gap between demand and supply of drone pilots. This step not only strengthens India’s security infrastructure but also fuels the country’s vision of becoming a global drone hub.
