Sri Puneet Kumar, Zonal Manager, South Central Zone, LIC of India, hoisted LIC Flag at the Zonal Office building, Saifabad, Hyderabad on the occasion of 68th anniversary of LIC of India. Speaking on the occasion, Sri Puneet Kumar said that the company which started with an initial capital of Rs 5 crore in 1956, is ranked as The World’s Number One Insurance Brand as per the Brand Finance Insurance 2024. With about 98000 employees and more than 14 lakh agents, the Organization is present in every nook and corner of the country. LIC has launched six new plans during 2023-24 out of which the plan Jeevan Utsav won the innovative product award in the 13th edition of Finnoviti Conclave Award.
Sri Puneet Kumar exhorted all employees to rededicate ourselves to the welfare of the customers. A robust mechanism is in place to redress the grievances of the customers and 98.6% of the complaints are redressed within 15 days. We have 74 customer zones across the country for providing personalized service to our customers. Majority of the callers get their queries resolved satisfactorily through IVRS itself.
