Kishan Reddy inaugurates 3 lifts at Sitafalmandi railway station:
G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Development of the North Eastern Region inaugurated three lifts at the Sitafalmandi Railway Station on Tuesday. “That Sitafalmandi Railway station is one of the important stations in the twin cities,” said G Kishan Reddy, “and the station also has multiple platforms and the lifts will provide convenient mobility to passengers, particularly senior citizens and Divyangjan.”
Concerning MMTS phase II, the Union Minister stated that work is underway and that services will be available to the general public very soon, as MMTS phase I benefits citizens in the western and southern parts of the city, and phase II will benefit a larger crowd, particularly in the northern and eastern parts of the city.
Furthermore, he stated that various railway developmental works have been undertaken in the State, including the redevelopment of Secunderabad Railway Station at a cost of Rs 600 crore and the development of the Fourth Terminal station at Charlapalli to ease traffic congestion in the twin cities, and that there is a plan to provide free WIFI service facilities in all small railway stations in Telangana in the coming years.
The lifts at the station are located at the entry side, close to the booking office, and at platform no. 3 and 4 of the station, which is very convenient for the passengers, according to Sharat Chandrayan, Divisional Railway Manager, SCR. “The Sitafalmandi Railway station is an important urban station with MMTS services.
