JetSetGo, India’s premier private jet and helicopter charter marketplace, has solidified groundbreaking partnerships with aviation technology leaders Electra.aero, Horizon Aircraft, and Overair, marking agreements valued at over $1.3 billion. The collaborations aim to propel India into the forefront of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) solutions, utilizing cutting-edge technologies like blown lift systems, hybrid propulsion, and electrically-powered optimal speed tilt rotors.
The strategic alliances involve the acquisition of 150 aircraft with an initial deal value of $780 million, accompanied by options for additional aircraft, potentially scaling the fleet to 280. These agreements were unveiled at the inaugural AAM conference at Begumpet Airport, emphasizing the transformative impact of AAM solutions on India’s aviation sector.
JetSetGo envisions the deployment of AAM solutions across five identified use cases: airport transfers, regional connectivity, intercity commute, intracity shuttles, and urban air taxis. The selected aircraft designs, including hybrid-electric planes from Electra.aero and Horizon, as well as Overair’s Butterfly electric eVTOL aircraft, are deemed optimal for addressing diverse mobility needs.
Kanika Tekriwal, CEO and co-founder of JetSetGo, expressed excitement about the partnerships, emphasizing India’s potential as a launch market for AAM.
