The Revolutionary Retreat, organized by Kids Education Revolution (KER) – Teach For India’s platform for student leadership, once again served as a beacon for passionate young leaders to converge and envision a brighter future.
Gathering over 150 students and educators from diverse backgrounds, including international attendees from Malaysia, New Zealand, and Kazakhstan, this year’s retreat held at Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini in Bhayander, Mumbai, fostered a community dedicated to driving sustainable change through education.
Throughout the three-day event, students delved into sessions exploring design thinking, collective leadership, and Teach For India’s 8Cs framework. They tackled pressing issues through hands-on activities, deepened their understanding of India’s Constitutional Values, and embarked on an enlightening visit to Mumbai’s Museum of Solutions.
Renowned educator Shaheen Mistri led a thought-provoking session on “India and the World,” urging students to envision a more equitable future. The retreat concluded with a screening of “Conference of the Birds Film,” reinforcing the importance of partnership between students and educators in shaping a better society.
This year’s Revolutionary Retreat showcased projects addressing gender equality, access to education, mental health, and artistic expression. It underscored the transformative power of student-led advocacy and collaborative action in reimagining education.
