IndiaJoy 2025, the country’s largest digital-entertainment festival, opened today in Hyderabad in the presence of key leaders and visionaries shaping India’s creative economy.

The inauguration was graced by Shri D. Sridhar Babu, Minister for IT, Electronics & Communications, Industries & Commerce, and Legislative Affairs, Government of Telangana; Mr. Sanjay Jaju, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India; and special guests Teja Sajja, Dil Raju (Chairman, TFDC), and K.K. Senthil Kumar, DOP of Baahubali. Leading AVGC, film, gaming, and technology experts also joined the opening ceremony.

Major Launches and New Platforms

The event marked the debut of the WAVES Animation Bazaar, a new B2B initiative that strengthens AVGC partnerships and investment opportunities.
The WAVEX Pavilion showcased eight startups and recognized WAVES Create in India Challenge Season-1 winners, who presented their projects to major OTT buyers and global investors.

In another milestone, IndiaJoy launched its first Indian Film Market, organized with Producers Bazaar, uniting leading producers, OTT buyers, international studios, and financiers.
This new market aims to promote co-production, content acquisition, and international distribution, paving the way for future industry markets.

AMD and Industry Partnerships

AMD, the powered-by sponsor for IndiaJoy and presenting partner for the VFX Summit, continues its support for India’s high-performance computing and visual-technology ecosystem.

The 2025 edition features 12 cluster events, including VFX Summit, Cinematica, Desitoons, ASIFA India, OTT Pulse, Frames & Codes, Creators Street, AMD Game On, DreamHack, Comic Con, WAVES Bazaar, and the Indian Film Market, making IndiaJoy South Asia’s largest creative-economy festival.

An IFFI Roadshow, led by Mr. Sanjay Jaju, IAS, was hosted during IndiaJoy 2025 to highlight Telangana’s growing film ecosystem and attract collaborations from producers and directors across India.

Dignitaries at the inaugural stressed Telangana’s ambition to become Asia’s biggest creative-technology and production hub, supporting animation, VFX, gaming, filmmaking, and immersive-media sectors.
