The Hyderabad Marathon will be sponsored by NMDC Ltd. for the next three years. The NMDC Hyderabad Marathon 2022, supported by IDFC FIRST Bank Ltd, will take place on the 27th and 28th of August 2022, with approximately 15,000 runners from throughout the city, country, and beyond taking part.
The Hyderabad Runners Society and NMDC Ltd, in collaboration with IDFC FIRST Bank Ltd. and the Government of Telangana, have announced the start of the NMDC Hyderabad Marathon 2022 Edition. The government has been sponsoring the yearly municipal giant athletic event, which includes over 3500 city volunteers and goes through the city’s centre. This event, which is regarded as one of the best and most difficult city marathons in India, also marks the start of the Marathon Season in India. The Hyderabad Runners Society, which just marked fifteen years of encouraging active lifestyles and running as the preferred form of fitness exercise, organises it.
The NMDC Hyderabad Marathon is one of India’s most popular and highly regarded marathons. The 2022 edition will feature over 15,000 runners, health and fitness enthusiasts, over 3500 volunteers, 250 medical personnel, city officials, and a large deployment of police, as the city comes together to energise this sporting extravaganza with a curtain-raiser – 5K Fun Run on Saturday, August 27th, 2022, and the 10K, Half Marathon (21.095 km), and Full Marathon (42.195 km) will take place on Marathon Sunday: August 28th 2022.

Nikhat Zareen, an Indian amateur boxer who won a gold medal at the 2022 IBA Women’s World Boxing Championships, is the event’s face. “I am delighted to be connected with the 11th Edition of the NMDC Hyderabad Marathon, which is supported by Hyderabad Runners,” she stated through video. The event organiser, Hyderabad Runners Society, wants to promote running as the preferred form of fitness exercise and active lives. The 42.195 km Full Marathon and 21.095 km Half Marathon will tour the city’s main landmarks, providing runners with a magnificent view of the Hussain Sagar Lake, the Durgam Cheruvu Cable Bridge, and the IT Corridor, while promoting the healthy living theme among Hyderabad residents.
