Founder Dharma Mahesh announced a major transformation today. The well-known brand Gismat has officially changed its name to JISMAT.
This announcement carries deep emotional value because it was made on the 2nd birthday of his son, Jhagadwaja. To mark the occasion, the Ameerpet branch was unveiled under the new brand name.
Tribute Becomes a Brand Identity
Explaining the decision, Dharma Mahesh said:
“JISMAT is born out of pure love for my little Jhagadwaja. Every plate of biryani and every smile of our guests will carry this warmth. Our taste, quality, and affection will only grow under this new identity.”
Dharma Mahesh, known for his work in Sindooram and Drinkar Sai and winner of the Best Debut GAMA Award in Dubai, said this rebranding represents a new phase built on emotion, quality, and legacy. Legally, Trademark Certificates confirm Dharma Mahesh as the exclusive owner of the name Gismat.
After years of building the brand, he has now begun a full and structured shift to JISMAT.
Management also shared that:
A Board of Directors will manage operations during the transition.
All existing Gismat branches will convert to JISMAT in phases.
The entire company ownership will be dedicated to his son Jhagadwaja.
Official Corporate Updates
According to JISMAT’s Legal Advisor, High Court Advocate Nagurbabu N:
- The new company name Gismat Restaurants Private Limited has been approved by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA).
- The team is now waiting for the Registration Certificate (RC).
- Once completed, all branches across India will operate under one corporate entity.
- The organisation has started the process to obtain ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 certifications to strengthen quality and food safety systems.
Moving forward:
- The legal entity will stay as Gismat Restaurants Private Limited.
- The customer-facing brand everywhere will be known as JISMAT.
