Garba organized for cancer victims in Rajkot

On October 2, 2024, the “Care Foundation” is organizing a special Garba event for cancer patients in Rajkot, Gujarat, on the eve of Navratri. Over 3,000 cancer warriors and their families, along with more than 250 cancer specialists, are expected to attend. Additionally, over 700 girls will participate in the Garba dance, and each will receive gift vouchers for cancer prevention vaccines (HPV) and mammography tests from the Greev Foundation.

Devi Kavach Recital

According to media reports, 108 girls will perform the Devi Kavach recital to instill new strength and energy in cancer patients. These girls are receiving training for this purpose, continuing a tradition where girls performing Garba historically recited the Devi Kavach.

A Play to Raise Awareness

The event will also provide accommodation and meals for attendees, with a nominal token fee of ₹200. A play will be staged to raise awareness about cancer. The UV Club’s Bipinbhai Bera and his team have generously offered the venue and other arrangements free of charge.
