The Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI), one of India’s most active 108-year-old regional chambers, announced the second edition of the FTCCI–NMDC President’s Cup 2025, a unique Industrial Cricket League. The official jersey was unveiled by Mr. R. Ravi Kumar, President, FTCCI, in the presence of Mr. K.K. Maheshwari, Senior Vice President, Mr. Meela Jayadev, Past President, Ms. Veena, Secretary, team captains, and representatives from participating industries.
Why an Industrial Cricket League Matters
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ravi Kumar said that the Industrial Cricket League plays a major role in strengthening camaraderie among companies. It creates a common platform for collaboration beyond boardrooms and helps promote:
- employee wellness
- team spirit and leadership
- healthy work–life balance
He added that such tournaments reduce workplace stress, boost productivity, and build a sense of belonging in organisations. They also bring different industries together, often leading to new partnerships, networking opportunities, and business growth. “Sport has the power to unite. This league highlights the human side of industries, where teamwork and fair play matter more than competition,” he said.
Overwhelming Response From Industries
FTCCI Secretary Ms. Veena shared that the response from companies has been tremendous. However, due to time constraints, only 8 teams could be accommodated this year.
“From the next editions, we plan to expand the tournament to 12 teams,” she noted.
