The Royal College of Physicians (RCP), London, has conferred the prestigious Ambuj Nath Bose Prize 2025 upon Dr. D. Nageshwar Reddy, Chairman of AIG Hospitals, for his pioneering contributions to the field of endoscopy and his impact on advancing medical science.
This recognition was announced during the Harveian Oration 2025, an annual scientific lecture established in 1656 by William Harvey, the physician who discovered blood circulation. The event celebrates outstanding contributions to medical research and innovation across the world.
Instituted in 1954, the Ambuj Nath Bose Prize honors exceptional research in a field chosen each year by the RCP Council. Dr. Reddy’s achievement is historic — he is only the second Indian to receive the award since Dr. C. Gopalan in 1998.
