Defence Minister Launches 75 Artificial Intelligence Products/Technologies
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has stated that artificial intelligence technology should only be used for human development and peace.
He stated that timely integration of technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data in the defence sector is critical to staying ahead of the technology curve. Mr Singh 11th july unveiled 75 new Artificial Intelligence products at the first-ever symposium and exhibition on Artificial Intelligence in Defense in New Delhi.
Automation, robotics systems, cyber security, human behaviour analysis, intelligent monitoring systems, logistics and supply chain management, computer and intelligence, and operational data analytics are among the items. The product was introduced as part of the celebrations for ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.’ Artificial intelligence, according to the Minister, is a game-changer in the evolution of humanity.
Mr. Singh said that practically every industry, including defence, health and medicine, agriculture, trade and commerce, and transportation, have seen advancements in artificial intelligence. He urged all parties involved in the defence industry to strengthen the connection between human awareness and artificial intelligence’s capacity to bring about a significant shift in the industry. He said that military equipment with artificial intelligence capabilities is able to handle massive volumes of data effectively. It’s also proven to be quite beneficial for training the military, he claimed. India would soon be among the top nations in the field of artificial intelligence, Mr. Singh believed.
According to the Defence Minister, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that whoever becomes the leader in the field of Artificial Intelligence will govern the globe. However, he stated that India does not wish to become a world dictator since it thinks that the entire globe is one family.
