CtrlS Datacenters Ltd, Asia’s largest Rated-4 datacenter operator, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, to collaborate on renewable-energy projects for datacenter operations.
The MoU was exchanged between Sridhar Pinnapureddy, Founder & CEO of CtrlS Datacenters, and Sarit Maheshwari, CEO of NGEL.
Under this agreement, CtrlS and NGEL will jointly establish grid-connected renewable-energy assets up to 2 GW or more through greenfield development and/or acquisitions. The green power generated will supply CtrlS datacenters for captive consumption or other mutually agreed business opportunities.
