An alliance with the Congress is final in Jammu and Kashmir, National conference president Farooq Abdullah said on Thursday. It was announced soon after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and party chief Mallikarjun Kharge met NC chief Farooq Abdullah.
”We had a good meeting in a cordial atmosphere. The alliance is on track and, God willing, it will run smoothly. The alliance is final. It will be signed this evening and the alliance is on all 90 seats.” abdullah told reporters.
He added, ” Tarigami is also with us. I hope our people are with us too and that we win with a huge majority to improve the lives of the people.”
Before to the meeting Rahul Gandhi told reporters that there will be an alliance but it will be done while maintaining the respect of the workers of the congress party.

The Jammu and Kashmir Assembly election to be held for the first time since 2014, with the former state under president’s Rule since 2018 will be held in three Phases, on september 18, september 25 and October 1st, with results to be announced on October 4.
