City to see grand finale of Vajrotsavalu Celebrations:
The popular city events ‘Sunday-Funday’ at Tank Bund and ‘Ek Shaam Charminar ke Naam’ at historic Charminar will be held on a grand scale this Sunday, marking the end of ‘Swatantra Bharatha Vajrotsavalu’ celebrations. There will be band performances, cultural activities, and games. Artists and musicians are also welcome to perform at the events.
The Sunday-Funday and Ek Shaam Charminar Ke Naam events were revived last week as part of the Independence Day celebrations and proved to be a hit.
According to Special Chief Secretary Arvind Kumar, with the completion of the State government’s ‘Swatantra Bharata Vajrotsava Dwi Saptaham’ celebrations on August 21, these events will be ready for the larger events. This Sunday will feature various band performances, cultural activities, and games.
Arvind Kumar posted on social media, saying, “Swatantra Bharatha Vajrotsavalu concludes on August 21 (Sunday) with ‘Sunday-Funday’ at Tank Bund and ‘Ek sham Charminar ke Naam’ at Charminar. Bring your friends and family for a relaxing and enjoyable evening. Artists and musicians are invited to come and showcase their skills (sic) “Arvind Kumar posted on Twitter.
Meanwhile, as part of Swatantra Bharata Vajrotsavalu, Tatvaa Arts is organising 75 live musical concerts in 75 different GHMC parks within its boundaries in collaboration with the Telangana State Government.
These events will take place on August 21 from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. in Greater Hyderabad, with 75 different artists performing classical instruments such as the flute, mandolin, mridangam, carnatic guitar, santoor, carnatic keyboard, veena, nadaswaram, shehnai, sitar, and violin.
Arvind Kumar wrote on Twitter, “75 GHMC parks in Hyderabad will host 75 live musical concert programmes, including Vandana / morning ragas. On August 21, Sunday, 7-8 a.m., Tatvaa Arts will host a one-of-a-kind programme in collaboration with the Telangana State government. Please come and take part “He tweeted about it.
Programs will be held in parks within the greater Hyderabad area.
